Meet the UVA Rescue Reach Chapter

The University of Virginia chapter is Rescue Reach’s largest and most established chapter and serves as the model for the organization’s expansion. The chapter has hosted 10+ CPR, AED, First Aid, and BLS education events and helped certify more than 40 individuals. UVA partnered with Fluvanna County High School to CPR-certify its coaches and continues to work with teachers and community organizations to expand training. Volunteers have delivered lifesaving education across Virginia, from Richmond to Northern Virginia to Charlottesville, including in schools and Scout troops. With three certified CPR instructors and more than $5,000 raised, UVA continues to expand access to affordable, hands-on lifesaving training.
